At LegalForge, we want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be issued for our paid subscription plans.

1. Free Plan

The LegalForge Free plan does not require any payment. Since no charge is made, no refund is applicable for the Free plan.

2. Pro Plan — 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for all new LegalForge Pro subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with the Pro plan for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase date.

  • The 14-day guarantee applies to the first payment only (whether monthly or annual).
  • Refund requests made after the 14-day period will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
  • If a refund is issued, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan and Pro features will be deactivated immediately.

3. Renewal Payments

Subscription renewals (monthly or annual) are charged automatically at the start of each billing period. If you do not wish to be charged for the next period, you must cancel your subscription before the renewal date.

Refunds for renewal payments may be issued if requested within 7 days of the renewal charge, provided that you have not actively used Pro features during the new billing period. We reserve the right to deny refund requests for renewals if significant usage has occurred.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us at [email protected] with the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for the refund request

We aim to process all refund requests within 5 business days. Once approved, the refund will be issued through the original payment method via our payment provider, Paddle. The actual time for the refund to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer.

5. Payment Processing

All payments for LegalForge Pro are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all billing, invoicing, tax collection, and refund processing. When a refund is approved, it is processed by Paddle and returned to you using the same payment method you used to subscribe.

6. Cancellations

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account dashboard under Settings. When you cancel:

  • You will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period.
  • No further charges will be made after cancellation.
  • Your account will automatically revert to the Free plan at the end of the billing period.
  • Your generated documents will remain accessible on the Free plan.

7. Exceptions

We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases of abuse, including but not limited to: repeated subscription and refund cycles, violation of our Terms of Service, or fraudulent activity. In such cases, we may also suspend or terminate the account.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Changes will not apply retroactively to purchases made before the update.
